Isn't that a Ubuntu package rather than a Debian one and is it installable in siduction or plain Debian?

edit: nvm..its in sid

Yes, it's in sid, which I found strange, to me it reminds me of synaptic in a way

@piper our source repos appear to be mostly the same, but I don't have any wheezy sources and I've had deb-multimedia commented out for some months,  I don't know what is in your "misc.list".  I just now ran "apt-get update" and checked what will happen:

Code: [Select]

Seems to be in good shape. I think you've got a bad boy in your repos.  :)

deb-multimedia = multimedia.list = mythtv

both the above are now commented out and our repo's are the same

There is a reason for the vbox from wheezy, I just can't remember why, it is now removed

Code: [Select]
root@x1:/home/piper# apt-cache policy virtualbox
virtualbox:
  Installed: (none)

  Version table:
     4.1.18-dfsg-2 0
        500 http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ unstable/main amd64 Packages

ah, I remember now, vbox version (wheezy, is currently in a state called "testing") is 4.2.10

sids version is 4.1.18

Still: python-kde4 and system-config-printer-kde removed
« Reply #12 on: 2013/03/18, 14:00:36 »
Here still to be removed: python-kde4 and system-config-printer-kde
Code: [Select]
LANG=C apt-get dist-upgrade -d
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Calculating upgrade... Done
The following packages will be REMOVED:
  python-kde4 system-config-printer-kde
The following packages will be upgraded:
  python-apt python-apt-common python-qt4 python-qt4-dbus python-sip
5 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 2 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
Need to get 6263 kB of archives.
python-kde4 (available is 4:4.9.5-0r1) depends on sip-api-8.1, which is provided by python-sip=4.13.3-2 from debian.
With siduction-kdenext repo enabled, DU fetches newer python-sip=4.14.3-1, which itselfs provides sip-api-9.0 and -9.1

So waiting for newer python-kde4 should do it for those who want to be safe. I let it go on a test machine, did not hurt that much so far (KDE still usable :-) )
Code: [Select]
LANG=C apt-get install python-qt4 -s
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
The following extra packages will be installed:
  python-sip
Suggested packages:
  python-qt4-dbg
The following packages will be REMOVED:
  python-kde4 system-config-printer-kde
The following packages will be upgraded:
  python-qt4 python-sip
2 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 2 to remove and 1 not upgraded.
Remv system-config-printer-kde [4:4.8.4-3]
Remv python-kde4 [4:4.9.5-0r1]
Inst python-qt4 [4.9.3-4] (4.9.6-1 packages.siduction.org [i386]) []
Inst python-sip [4.13.3-2] (4.14.3-1 packages.siduction.org [i386])
Conf python-sip (4.14.3-1 packages.siduction.org [i386])
Conf python-qt4 (4.9.6-1 packages.siduction.org [i386])
