Title: New Laptop
Post by: slaughterer on 2016/05/04, 21:08:29
Dear forum,

The time has come to replace my ring.
I want a fully compatible siduction machine. After a detailed search I am thinking to buy http://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/Laptops/hp-spectre-x360---13t-touch-laptop-m6w88av-1 (http://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/Laptops/hp-spectre-x360---13t-touch-laptop-m6w88av-1)
It will play with sidux out of the box?Wireless card is Intel.

Tnx in advance

Basicaly yes. Skylake support for Linux is still catching up, but is ok. If you want to keep Windows on there and dualboot, you need to install siduction (or any other OS) with UEFI, which is not yet fully automated in siduction, but works. Other than that I see no obstacles in the way.

I don't think you can go wrong with an HP laptop.  I run siduction on an HP 350 G1 and it all just works.

My current ring Hp Laptop is almost 6 years old. Everything worked almost out of the box. And I am again on the search for the same path. I was hoping that this box will be the one. Tnx both  of you for the feedback.
