There is a black window with the Kde loggo. The window can not be moved or closed. Any ideas...?

Does Plasma still work? (Can you for instance click on the menu or does the clock run?) Does it go away if switch to a terminal (Ctrl+Alt+F1) and then come back (Ctrl+Alt+F7)?
-
Yes, plasma works. And the window go away if I switch to terminal and back. Now I see others having problems with panel, which has happened to me too, so these errors might be related...

Provide
dpkg -l | grep plasma
or try to benefit from

effo,
did you try to reset the config in kscreen in the systemsettings. I had a similar problem not too long ago after disconnecting one monitor and using it on a different device and then replugging it with the second display. Even after a reboot the output was not right, so I reset the config and all was fine.

After replacing one monitor, the black window is now gone. Taskbar and windows still hangs occasionally, but CTRL+ALT+F1 / F7 solves this.

I finally tried devil's idea to reset settings in kscreen and set both screens up again. Now the system has been running for a week with no problems. Taskbar works fine, no windows hangs, so I guess this issue is solved now.
Thanks!
