hi all,
although nothing important was removed (seemed so) during a d-u today, I have now a dark screen as a result of startup.
What can I do?

good q, but those packs weren't announced to be remved. I think I have not overseen this..
Will check,whether the packs announced in your list are there...
-
Well, you must have overlooked it, your log will show you
Reason I have not done one yet (did not do one yesterday either)
-
in deed these packs are no longer there, to hot today. is there a chance to just reinstall them?
-
one could wait a few days - there is a reason that these packages are gone - called dependencies.
-
yes thanks, will try so.
-
Seems to get "better" already:
28 aktualisiert, 1 neu installiert, 8 zu entfernen und 1 nicht aktualisiert.
-
The dependencies seem to fixed again. The package "kde-standard" is installable on my test-machine again except "ksnapshot/kamoso". Both packages have dependencies with libkiki11 which is in conflict with "libkf5kipi31.0.0" needed by "gwenview". I hope this will be fixed in the next days.

for a couple of hours I had zero packages to be removed. now python-apt, reportbug-ng are to be removed.
but i am not sure, whether these are related to the kde problems or whether this is by chance.
-
well, and just while I was posting, the problem was solved

hi all,
back again in init 5. An
apt-get install -s kde-plasma-desktop kdeconnect kinfocenter kwin-addons libpowerdevilcore2 plasma-desktop plasma-widgets-addons plasma-workspace powerdevil
looked good today and an apt-get install
made it. So everything working fine again.
-
it seems the du went through fine, but some icons in the systray and control panel (or how this is called) became quite small.
some of them I use quite often, so this is not so nice.
Is there a solution to this?

The sddm theme is broken now. The configuration module for sddm does not have any themes to configure despite them being installed.

The one day made a difference

The sddm theme is broken now. The configuration module for sddm does not have any themes to configure despite them being installed.
Here is the bug:
https://github.com/sddm/sddm/issues/682
If you want back the sddm_kcm feature, you have to downgrade sddm
LANG=C apt policy sddm
sddm:
Installed: 0.13.0-1
Candidate: 0.14.0-1~siduction.1
Version table:
0.14.0-1~siduction.1 500

500 http://ftp.debian.de/debian unstable/main amd64 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
apt install <foo>=<version>
apt-mark hold <foo>
Or wait till it is fixed.
or try as root
~$:su --> pw --> dbus-launch systemsettings5 &
dont know if this works for you.
-
Thanks hendrikL your solution works for me. :)
-
Following KDE transition, some packages are still to be removed; can I let them go?
Thank you
[/code]
The following packages will be REMOVED:
cgmanager libcgmanager0 libnih-dbus1 libnih1
-
You need to show the full output of
apt update && apt full-upgrade
libnih1 : Depends: libc6
-
Thanks <piper> for the quick reply.
An apt update and apt full-upgrade does not show any package to be removed now. Only _gwneview_ and _kspapshot_ have been kept back. I suppose that this is not a problem.

jyp,
ksnapshot is being superseded by kde-spectacle.
