[DE] (gelöst) ata3: softreset failed
« on: 2017/06/04, 10:01:50 »
Moin,
einer meiner Rechner weigert sich zubooten. Das letzte was man sieht ist:
[   2.375571] ata3: softreset failed (device not ready)
[   2.375571] ata4: softreset failed (device not ready)
[   2.375571] ata1: softreset failed (device not ready)
modprobe: module dm-raid45 not found .....

Moin,

also per ssh geht nichts. Kein rankommen.

Siehe hier: https://www.pablo-bloggt.de/linux/stresstest-hardwarecheck-unter-linux/

Besides a possible failing disk

Do you have an option in the BIOS to enable/disable AHCI (Advanced Host Controller Interface) ?

You might have an option to disable the ATA (IDE) interfaces if you're not using them and also have a look for a "legacy mode" (PATA emulation) setting in the SATA options

Years ago this was a kernel problem, you had to recompile the kernel with

CONFIG_SATA_PMP=n

patched long time ago

EDIT: Have you tried newer sata cables ?

also disconnect any cd/dvd drive and reboot and see if errors are still there

Moin,
Happy end sozusagen.

Vielen Dank für die Tipps
Tschüss
