I've just updated my systems to the new KDE. Although most was fine (I just lost some panel icons and keyboard shortcuts, that I quickly fixed it), but now the log in to KDE takes a long time (over 1 minute from sddm screen). It was MUCH faster before.
I thought it was just the first time (for the desktop to adjust to the new version), but has happened a few times now.
The system has good specs, so I'm not sure if this should be happening.

I also experience the same thing in virtual machine installation (running under Qemu/KVM.) Is it just me?
