Perl transition hits unstable
« on: 2020/11/08, 22:34:50 »
Attention everyone according to here https://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2020/11/msg00001.html a huge perl transition starts.
On my system there are already 175 packages to be removed.
Be carefull if your considering to dist-upgrade.

Achtung!
Auf meinem System möchte apt bereits 175 Pakete entfernen, also seid vorsichtig beim dist-upgrade

I just completed d-u with no removals and system rebooted fine. Not tested further. I did check the transition tracker first and made sure I didn't have any of the packages still marked as not completed.
I may have waited longer but been having an occasional glitch since kernel 5.9 emerged where the mouse disappears so hoping to fix that. There was an SDDM upgrade and several others which may have been the culprit so fingers crossed.

The only removals I had were for items that were updated with later versions
  libksgrd7 libksignalplotter7 libkwineffects12 libprocesscore7 libprocessui7

to
 libksgrd9 libksignalplotter9 libkwineffects12a libprocesscore9 libprocessui9
