Running the latest Thunderbird, as I for the life of me cannot figure out how to downgrade it, comes up displaying no text at all. Move the mouse around and the text shows up where the mouse moved.
I tried a different theme, same result, 20intel.conf with modesetting, same result.
Guess I am destined to find all the weird stuff as I had problems before with removing firefox, now a Thunderbird issue.
BTW, icedove has the same problem. Firefox is fine.
How in the heck do you downgrade?
I can get an archive but it requires extracting and I totally suck at figuring out how you do that.

Wow, that was quick. Had no idea it might be a bug, thought it was something I had done.
Will wait for an upgrade, at least I would presume.

But I don't get it: Why does this depend on the compiler version ? I this compiler broken or why does it produce broken binaries ? :-\

As a quick and dirty fix I've download/installed thunderbird from here:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/ubuntuzilla/files/mozilla/apt/pool/main/t/thunderbird-mozilla-build/

Hi,
why not using the original from here: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/all/
regards dsat

cause the deb package from there will be overwritten by the next upgrade, and then I'm back on track.

is already fixed.
