KDE Frameworks 5.47.0 is rolling in  :)

PAY ATTENTION to what apt says and wants to do.

Best thing to do is wait     ...      patience

Free speech isn't just fucking saying what you want to say, it's also hearing what you don't want to fucking hear

I either give too many fucks or no fucks at all, it's like I cannot find a middle ground for a moderate fuck distribution, it's like what the fuck

This is  **probably**  fixed for the majority of users, however, depending on mirrors syncing/used, execute extreme caution and READ what apt says and wants to do.

Today (this is all on a stock siduction repos)

apt update; apt full-upgrade

Code: [Select]
263 upgraded, 4 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
Yesterday

Code: [Select]
150 upgraded, 4 newly installed, 152 to remove and 5 not upgraded

Todays d-u: Two packeges (old kernels) to be removed.
But after actually doing the d-u I got lots of errors:
Code: [Select]

Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/i915/skl_dmc_ver1_27.bin for module i915
W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/i915/kbl_dmc_ver1_04.bin for module i915
W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/i915/cnl_dmc_ver1_07.bin for module i915
W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/i915/glk_dmc_ver1_04.bin for module i915
W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/i915/kbl_guc_ver9_39.bin for module i915
W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/i915/bxt_guc_ver9_29.bin for module i915
W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/i915/skl_guc_ver9_33.bin for module i915
W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/nvidia/gp108/sec2/sig.bin for module nouveau
[...]
Should I worry?

Should I worry?

We have seen these messages before, for wifi firmware.  The key word is "Possible" -- it is just a notification that hardware was found that requires downloaded firmware to operate correctly.  If you have installed the Debian free and nonfree firmware packages, and your hardware is working, then that message means nothing to you.

Yeah the titel is a little bit missleading. Framework 5.47 came in...
Linux is highly user friendly, it is just highly selective who it is friends with.
