Hi,
I tried a fast and dirty run today:

a) without cheatcode 'gnome' my installation boots (live) into gnome fallback http://paste.siduction.org/20121225172318.jpg

b) a startup with cheatcode gnome runs into native gnome3

c) in both ones (fallback and native) my terminal has black fonts on a black background - http://paste.siduction.org/20121225173445.jpg and http://paste.siduction.org/20121225172318.jpg

d) in fallback mode the taskbar font is also black on black http://paste.siduction.org/20121225172318.jpg

der_bud:
Hi,
cannot confirm that inside virtualbox (gnome in fallback-mode). Different from cryptosteves screenshot my terminal shows white background, thus black text is ok.

cryptosteve:
Jip, in VirtualBox it also starts not in fallback-mode.

Btw, fallback-mode is default (as mentioned in Release-Notes)

And I also have white terminal in VBox. Seems to be intel-graphics related.

Okay, I want to install the Gnome Release on my Thinkpad with Intel Graphic Chip. It seems, that a test on my Desktop System with Nvidia could be a better decision.

Kind regards,
  Holger

Hi,

It's a strange thing.
It seems that on some intel graphics works on others don't.
I have installed today gnome on a Samsung laptop with a intel videocard.
