Title: Is the 11.1 installation .iso a hybrid image?
Post by: tlmiller on 2012/01/01, 01:42:21
So that I can dd it to a USB drive for installation?  I keep a bunch of 1-2 GB usb drives around to install from, and I'd prefer to install from this since it's so much faster than a DVD.

I saw a thread in the German support forum that I THINK asked this basic question, but as I only know a handful of German words...

I've done it with all rc iso, so I think the release iso should also be a hybrid.

Notably Linux Mint requires you to use Unetbootin to create bootable USB images

Nice to see siduction use dd...that makes it easy to create a bootable USB stick to install siduction with.

Yup.  Very nice.  Got it up and running.  Replaced my Kubuntu install with Siduction, so far impressed.
