Hallo.
Ich habe hier eine Radeon HD 6850 Grafikkarte verbaut und wollte mal wissen welcher Treiber ihr empfehlt

Ich habe das Gefühl das die Einstellungen nicht optimal sind, bei manchen Videos sieht die Qualität nicht so gut aus und t.w. gibt es auch beim Surfen Probleme mit Youtube-files.

Dein größtes Problem sind eigentlich Zwei:

1. Radeon hat noch keinen wirklich guten Support für HD6xxx Karten.
2. Wenn Du bereits auf Xserver 1.11.1 aktualisiert hast, isses Essig mit fglrx, der im Moment noch der empfehlenswertere Treiber ist.
Ich gehe nicht zum Karneval, ich verleihe nur manchmal mein Gesicht.

xorg.conf wird schon länger nicht mehr benutzt. Brauchst Du die aus nem bestimmten Grund?
Falls du fglrx benutzt, brauchst du nur einen kleinen Schnipsel davon, (siehe Manual, analog zu nvidia) der Rest sollte weg. Nutzt du radeon, brauchst Du gar keine, es sei denn, du benutzt mehr als 1 Monitor, dann brauchst du wieder nur ein kleines Stück (Monitor Section)

Und noch eine Idee: Wenn Du auf X 10.4 zurückbaust und dann auf fglrx setzen solltest: Ein sauberes

aticonfig --initial --force

sollte eine xorg.conf für fglrx erzeugen. Devil hat zwar recht mit der nicht mehr empfohlenen Verwendung der xorg.conf. Allerdings hat die auch Vorteile im Fall fglrx. Wenn man den Treiber entsorgen will, dann purged man den und löscht die xorg.conf und das System ist bereit für radeon, wenn der Fortschritte macht.
