Seit heute ist Kernel 3.7 released.
Ich habe mich entschlossen, den erstmal in unser Experimental-Repo zu laden, da doch größere Änderungen in diesem Kernel zu beobachten sind.
Deshalb sollte der Kernel erstmal auf mehreren Hardwareumgebungen getestet werden mit der Bitte um Feedback.
Um den Kernel zu installieren reicht es, unser Experimental-Repo in den Sourcen zu aktivieren, ein Dist-Upgrade installiert den Kernel dann nach einem apt-get update.

Zunächst habe ich das System aktualisiert. Dabei kam erst mal der 3.6.-10 'rein.
Danach bin ich so verfahren, wie Du schreibst.

Gestartet wird der 3.7 vom Grub der "Riders on the Storm" in einem Multi-Bootsystem mit mageia2 und antiX12.

Es könnte passieren, daß bei einigen Leuten der Kernel nicht per d-u kommt, da apt-conf-siduction das Pinning von Experimental auf 100 setzt und somit eine niedrigere Priorität als Base hat.

Ich habe jetzt nur die Experimental-Quelle aktiv, weil er mir eben den 3.7 nicht anbot.

Ist es richtig, die Sources wieder zurück zu drehen?

Nimm Nvidia aus experimental, es ist bekannt, daß Nvidia aus unstable nicht mit 3.7 funktioniert.

Hmm, gerade neu gestartet, => anscheinend kein Sound bzw. Lautstärke mehr. Alle Module sind wohl geladen, es gibt auch keine Fehlermeldungen, die Mixer und Regler scheinen auch zu funktionieren nur akustisch herscht äußerste Ruhe. :-P

Hallo,

gerade upgedatet und kurz getestet, einige ACPI-Meldungen in dmesg
aber keine merkbaren Probleme. Sound nach Aufruf Alsmixer und unmute s/pdif auch ok.
