Hallo

Model: "Sierra Wireless EM7305"
  Hotplug: USB
Vendor: usb 0x1199 "Sierra Wireless, Inc."

Hello

I have made the following experience (Laptop System: FUJITSU product: LIFEBOOK E756):

With the current kernel 5.9.9 towo.1-siduction-amd64 the modem does not work and there are anomalies (up to kernel panic) .

With the 5.6.16-towo.1-siduction-amd64 it works fine.

Hello

I tried:

linux-image-5.9.9-towo.1-siduction-amd64

The problem still exists.

Is there a newer kernel ?

Hello

Thank you very much

So I did install the latest kernel.
No more kernel-panic in rescue-mode.
But unfortunately:

In rescue mode it ends up in a loop of registering and disconnecting the
Qualcom USB modem converter

EDIT
With kernel : linux-image-5.9.9-towo.3-siduction-amd64 it is the same as
linux-image-5.9.9-towo.2-siduction-amd64

With kernel linux-image-5.9.10-towo.1-siduction-amd64 -> kernel-panic in rescue mode

Hello

The problem is still alive.
I have tried meanwhile a lot of kernels - no success .
Even Kernel 5.12.13-2  does not work too

Versuch den aktuellen Kernel.
Da habe ich

Code: [Select]
CONFIG_USB_SIERRA_NET=m
gesetzt.
