Title: towo changelog states linux-3.5.1-rc but not yet
Post by: ralul on 2012/06/03, 02:24:53
Towo,
where did you get it from to apply
bad_rss_counter_state.patch
to linux-3.4, which is not listed at the linux-stable mailinglist. Though it is a simple reordering of functions. But does it help to fix a bug of ours?

And your changelog states:
 * import patch-3.5.1-rc1
This fits with the application of the linux-3.5 patch above. For real?

* import patch-3.5.1-rc1 is a typo, i fix it at the moment.
The other patch is from the LKML and yes, it fixes the error, which i heve on my system here, system stops for minutes at shutdown.

Surely you don't need to fix that kind of typo.
It was just fitting for my kind of joke :)
I just was curious where you got it from, not finding such at slh-svn and not in the stable Mailinglist. If you are that far "into it", why don't you actively engage in that linux.kernel.stable Mailinglist?
