KDEpim (kontact) and Akonadi resources
« on: 2016/08/09, 17:35:59 »
Hi community,

after extensive testing with a minimum number of packages for the KDE desktop I found a solution to my problem with the non-functioning akonadi resources (ownCloud Address Book) that I do not like to withhold.

Based on currently built nox ISO, I have placed the KDE desktop with the following packages:

Code: [Select]
xserver-xorg
x11-server-utils
x11-utils
x11-apps
dbus-x11
kde-standard
systemsettings
kdebase-apps
kscreen
kde-config-gtk-style
kde-config-gtk-style-preview
khotkeys
kde-config-screenlocker
kwin-x11
kwin-addons
sddm-theme-breeze
kde-config-sddm
libpam-kwallet5
kde-l10n-de
kdepim

The package has selection of kdepim result that is installed as Akonadi backend MySQL (Package name: akonadi-backend-mysql), does not have the problems with the integration of an address book from a ownCloud instance. Moreover Akonadi backend MySQL recommended variant.

As pleasant side effect I have implemented a slim KDE system. The installed system contains no siduction artwork or siduction KDE Settings. There is a minimal KDE desktop with kdepim. The Network Manager and its plasma Apps are not included, since I at a stationary PC anyway not need this, and the network connection was configured with the NetworkD (systemd).

Hallo Community,

Code: [Select]
xserver-xorg
x11-server-utils
x11-utils
x11-apps
dbus-x11
kde-standard
systemsettings
kdebase-apps
kscreen
kde-config-gtk-style
kde-config-gtk-style-preview
khotkeys
kde-config-screenlocker
kwin-x11
kwin-addons
sddm-theme-breeze
kde-config-sddm
libpam-kwallet5
kde-l10n-de
kdepim
