Seems so, Debian Bug #794499 - kdeconnect does not work with Plasma 5/KF5  (https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=794499)

From that bug report try to run
Code: [Select]
kcmshell4 kdeconnect

thank you +1
edit: this way it is impossible to have a working notification sync using kdeconnect's plasmoid. I have tried with gentoo and the git version has a working set for plasma5. I i try to compile kdeconnect from git i get
Code: [Select]
CMake Warning at plugins/mousepad/CMakeLists.txt:9 (find_package):
Could not find a configuration file for package "KF5Wayland" that is
  compatible with requested version "5.3.90".
so i think i have to wait for a newer version :/
