This warning goes mainly to KDE users. Maybe LXQt will loose somew too, not sure right now.

I use

and that downloads the packages that are the upgrades. So most of the 296 are already in /var/cache/apt/archives and the rest just went there too.

Post by: horo on 2016/08/24, 12:53:18: I run my shell script "agudu" almost daily (as user), the name comes from the workflow (the script is in place since some years):
sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get -d dist-upgrade
So my /var/cache/apt/archives is always up to date and I can track the kde "progress".

Upon reboot, and with widgets locked, the system tray widget and the several items I have parked there, including volume, netman, and the "en" flag, are all missing from the panel. Unlocking widgets and reinstalling the systray works as expected, and the systray items are all there again, so that part of the configuration is unchanged. But the systray is not "integrated" in the panel configuration, apparently.

But, this looks like a bug to me. Doing normal work with widgets "unlocked" is the way I've accidentally screwed up the desktop and/or panel. I like to leave them locked when I'm not doing GUI configuration stuff. Oh well, sometimes Linux is a test of adaptability. ;-)

Well, i faced the same problem/feature/issue/bug!

But, maybe this is not the right place to talk about the bug, kf5 is installable and that is solved, but a hiding systray bug should be a new treat, so that every one who searching for it could find the workaround till it is fixed!
