Hello,
since last d-u I have some gfx garbage on the desktop. Please check attached pictures. Can anybody confirm this? My desktop is latest kde plasma.
gfx1 is a hover in firefox
gfx2 is a hover plasma bar
First I saw this with a drop-down-menu in gparted.

Also:
lspci -nnk | grep -i "VGA\|'Kern'\|3D\|Display" -A3

Hi axt,
my primary intention was not to blame a specific package. I was unsure if something is wrong with my hardware.
You are right my computer is equipped with a radeon graphics chip.
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Juniper XT [Radeon HD 6770] [1002:68ba]
Subsystem: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd Juniper XT [Radeon HD 6770] [1458:220c]
Kernel driver in use: radeon
Kernel modules: radeon
And yes, I saw the latest xserver packages. But till now nobody else confirmed my investigations.

@tubabaeda
Solution 2 did the trick. Thank you very much. I wasn't aware that the new driver is supporting such an old gfx card.
