Title: Synaptic on the iso?
Post by: vilde on 2018/01/30, 11:46:46
I just wonder. All this years with sid, allways told not to use synaptic or you are out of your own if you use synaptic.

Until now synaptic has as I can recall not been on the installation iso but it is now, why?

No one has told not using synaptic. It was allway told, upgrading the system with synaptic is a no go.

So, to make the difference clear: If you want to install single packages, you can use Synaptic if you want to. Upgrades of the system are recommended to be performed with apt.
