Title: (solved) wrong display settings
Post by: vilde on 2017/01/03, 17:08:17
I don't get the right display settings on one of my computers, changed to a newer but not new monitor.
Code: [Select]
Graphics:  Card: NVIDIA GP107 [GeForce GTX 1050 Ti] bus-ID: 01:00.0
           Display Server: X.Org 1.19.0 drivers: fbdev,nouveau (unloaded: modesetting,vesa)
           Resolution: 1280x1024@77.00hz
GLX Renderer: Gallium 0.4 on llvmpipe (LLVM 3.9, 128 bits)
GLX Version: 3.0 Mesa 13.0.2 Direct Rendering: Yes
The monitor is a Dell and it shall be on 1920x1080 and the frequency shall be lower than it is i think.

On the settings-display I am not able to change anything.

XFCE 64 bit patience

Install the nvidia blob, nouveau does not support that card.

I red somewhere that nouveau shall support Geforce 1050 now, does it? And how do I make it work if it does?

I think I go on answering my own posts.

After today's d-u finally my nvidia 1050 graphic adapter works with native linux driver. :)
