Title: [Soved] RX 5600 / 5600 XT
Post by: Taliesin on 2020/04/06, 09:40:20
Hi folks,
I'm considering buying this card, but before doing so was wondering what the current status is regarding drivers and Linux support.
There is a review posted on Phoronix dated 21 January 2020, where he used Linux 5.5 Git and Mesa 20.0-devel, which looks promising.
Though I've yet to find any further information that is helpful at this stage.
Cheers folks.

Should work, since we have kernel 5.5/5.6 in siduction available and Mesa 20.0.x is in debian unstable.
The only thing is, firmware could be missing in the package foirmware-amd-graphics, so you propably need to download it from the firmware-git ¹ and copy it by hand.

Upon your suggestion of a workable solution, I purchased a card 5600XT, and followed your advice.
Card is working perfectly now.
Thankyou once again.
