Title: Icedove & Iceweasel starten nicht

Hallo,
sowohl Icedove als auch Iceweasel starten neuerdings nicht mehr. Da ich nicht weiß seit wann das Problem existiert, kann ich auch keine Verbindung zu möglichen Änderungen herstellen.
Kernel: 2.6.36-1.slh.2-aptosid-686.
Starten mit von der Konsole bringt:

Ich habe Icedove mit remove und purge gelöscht und neu installiert, aber der Fehler bleibt.

Hallo,
ich habe leider keine Lösung.
Iceweasel hat sich von alleine recovered und Icedove spinnt noch immer.
Xulrunner ist nicht installiert.

Äh das ist komisch, iceweasel hängt aber von diesem ab! Gut genauer gesagt von xulrunner-2.0; ist das paket auf deinem Systen drauf?

die xulrunner-2.0 braucht mensch für den experimentellen iceweasel-4.0

Du hast die 32Bit-Libraries auf deinem 64Bit-System installiert. ich vermute, da liegt das Problem.

Mach mal ein

Wenn du die 32Bit-Umgebung nicht für andere Programme benötigst, deinstalliere sie...

Und wenn du neben ~/.mozilla auch ~/.icedove sicherst, verlierst du auch keine Mails ;)

@ralv: Habe es jetzt mal gemacht und ich bekomme trotzdem immer wieder die Fehlermeldung.
Gibt es eigentlich ne Größen Beschränkung für die Ordner im Homeverzeichnis oder Anzahl der Mails? Solange icedove funktioniert läuft es aber sehr flussig.
Mir ist gerade aufgefallen, dass wenn ich es mit alltray ausführe, ich mehr Fehlermeldung bekomme. Vielleicht kann man ja daraus mehr erkennen. Nun weiß ich aber nicht, ob es von alltray oder von icedove kommt.

Edit: Icedove stürzt auch nur, wenn ich mit dem Mausrad scrolle, wenn ich auf die Pfeile hoch und runter klicke, dann stürzt es nicht ab.
Edit: Aber wenn man lange auf die Pfeile klickt, dann stürzt Icedove doch wieder ab  :cry:

Die Meldungen, die du da bekommst, werden durch Alltray verursacht. Die haben nichts mit deinem Problem zu tun. Du schreibst "Habe es jetzt mal gemacht"...welche Schritte hast du denn durchgeführt?
Eine Größenbeschränkung für /home gibt es nicht, es sei denn du hast explizit Quotas eingerichtet. Und ich möchte auch bezweifeln, dass du genug Mails in deinen Ordnern hast, um Icedove in die Knie zu zwingen ;)

und die verzeichnisse ~/.mozilla und ~/.icedove hast du umbenannt/verschoben?

Das habe ich jetzt auch gemacht:

rename /home/.../.icedove /home/.../alte.icedove
Dann

rm -rf /etc/icedove/
apt-get install icedove

Dann habe ich in das neue Profilordner abcdefg.default (name geändert :D) in dem Ordner .icedove die alten Sachen aus dem alten Profilordner hijklmn.default hinein kopiert.
Ist der letzte Schritt den richtig?
Alles war dann wieder da.
Stürzt trotzdem wieder ab :cry:

äh du müsstest das zuminest einmal probieren, ohne das deine alten mails da sind. Mach es doch wie folgt:
starte icedove -P, dann kannst du einfahc ein zweites Profil alegen zum testen. Danach wählst du auch dieses aus und startest damit.

Wenn das klappt, dann würde ich es mal probieren nur die mails zu imigrieren in den neuen ordner /mail/. So wie ich icedove kenne hat er das profil zerschossen, den mails an sich geht es aber noch gut.

Ok, da vielleicht das kopierte ein Problem machen könnte habe ich nur folgendes gemacht:

rm -rf /home/.../.icedove
apt-get install icedove
Und nun habe ich hier versucht nur einen Imap Konto zu eröffnen.
Habe also nix von dem alten irgendwohin kopiert.
Ich kriege es gerade eben eingerichtet, dann taucht ganz kurz ein Fenster mit OpenPGP Fenster auf und es stürzt wieder alles zusammen. Es hat also nix mit meinen alten Profilen zu tun.

na wenn du gpg verwendest, welche version hat den das enigmail plugin? und du brauchst natürlich auch das paket gnupg

kmail startet bei dir nicht, weil akonadi nicht läuft. das kannst du mit einem

/usr/bin/akonadictl start anstoßen.
zu deinem icedove/iceweasel-problem fällt mir leider nicht mehr viel ein.
ich persönlich hätte jetzt vermutlich die bereits genannten verzeichnisse gesichert, das system neu aufgesetzt und dann mit einer sauberen konfiguration neu angefangen. mir scheint, dass da bei dir doch so einiges mehr im argen liegt...da eine neuinstallation von aptosid ja nur wenige minuten braucht, ist das vielleicht nicht die schlechteste idee...

Ich hatte das Problem auch weil ich nen Haufen libs um gconf2 aus experimental installiert hatte. Die sollten mal geupdatet werden, da mit den neuen das Problem zumindest mit IW4.0_beta11 nicht mehr besteht.
Ich hoffe das hilft.

Ich mache regelmäßig dist-upgrade, aber dies meinst Du wohl nicht, oder?
