ownership issue -- /run/user/1000/pulse
« on: 2014/08/27, 23:45:39 »
After today's d-u, there is a problem with pulseaudio and pavucontrol.  Upon starting X (eg. systemctl start lightdm), or in a user terminal issueing start-pulsaudio-x11, the directory /run/user/1000/pulse is created with root ownership.  This means the user has no access to pavucontrol, and some audio-using packages, like skype, don't have audio.  Fix it in a root terminal with "chown -R user:user /run/user/1000/pulse".
