[DE] skylake-gpu firmware nötig?

Hallo,

im Livemodus (siduction-15.1.0-paintitblack-kde-amd64-2016011..>) bleibt KDE ständig hängen, ist eine spezielle firmware notwendig oder liegt das Problem woanders?

Ja, Skylake erfordert Firmware, welche noch nicht paketiert ist.
Da mußt Du die selbst runterladen und nach /lib/firmware/i915 kopieren.

Danke!  Probiere ich gleich mal aus. Geht das auch im Live-modus (im bootmenü einbinden)?

Bin mir noch nicht so ganz sicher wie ich SSD & HD partitioniere& formatiere, deshalb noch nicht installiert.

In dem Fall bleib doch einfach ganz trivial und pack die Siduction-Installation in ein 50G Partition - und wenn Du richtig Spass in den Backen hast und nichts anderes auf der SSD unbekannter Größe drauf ist: bis 250G ist mbr eventuell eine gute Idee, falls da nicht noch ein Windows rauf soll, bei größeren SSDs würd ich auf jeden Fall GPT empfehlen (hmm - eigentlich immer)

Grafik funktioniert auch nach Installation, mit der Intel-firmware nicht. Grafik ist sehr langsam, selbst scrollen im Browser geht nicht richtig.

Die Firmware ist nicht die Fehlerursache, Kanotix vom Stick gebootet verwendet die gleiche Firmware, da funktioniert die Grafik ohne Probleme.
(Release Notes: Kanotix Spitfire KDE Special mit Kernel 4.2 (Ubuntu 4.2.17-21),  Mesa 11.0.4 (optimal für Intel Skylake/Broadwell/Haswell - allerdings ohne OpenGL 4 für nouveau/radeon)

Liegt das Problem bei mesa 11.1.1 in Siduction? Oder wo liegt die Optimierung für Intel Skylake in Kanotix?

libgles1-mesa & libgles2-mesa sind jeweils in der zu mesa passenden Version (11.1.1-2 siduction; 11.0.4-1 kanotix) vorhanden.

Siduction ist unbenutzbar langsam, kwin wird oft neu gestartet, aber in kanotix funktioniert alles problemlos...
