I reinstalled an older version of Siduction (Paint it black - Draft) I did this because we recently had a lightening strike which took out my system and the internet/phone lines. The phone is still not up yest and my internet access is through my mobile phone.

After installing I did an update and the above error was produced. System seem to work OK, but I cannot test everything until the phone/internet is fixed. We have been off the air for around 5 days now.

Thanks for any info or advice.

For now it is just info (just starting my day).
There wa a bugreport last year, which is the only thing I found on the matter:
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=758778

Given the fact that the package for udev 228-2 is not broken, that does not help much, But I would force-remove it anyways and reinstall it. Before that make sure you already have the latest dpkg installed!

Thanks for the early response. I think as I still have very limited internet access I will re-install from the DVD and forget about updating it. Once I get reconnected I will download a current image and do it again.

Take care and again thanks
