To me this looks like wrong packaged packages (at least for 32 bit):

BTW, both old and new come from siduction:

apt-cache policy razorqt-config
razorqt-config:

  Installationskandidat: 0.5.2-2

     0.4.1-2 0

apt-get -f install does not help.

noone else has this problem?
Ok, you can't code, but you still might be able to write a bug report for Debian's sake

I had id and solved it for myself by installing the downloaded packages from /var/cache/apt/archives via dpkg -i --force-all packagenames.deb.
Worked so far.

ups, sorry, will be fixed. we hoped this bug is long gone.

Edit: This one was in upstream and i never heard of problems before.

Thanks for replying.

Code: [Select]
dpkg -i --force-all ... looks more like a brutal workaround and not so much like a solution ;-)

I was thinking of uninstalling razorqt* . Presumably I could reinstall the newer version afterwards, but as I *use* it for testing only I think it isn't worth the hassle.

Agreed, not very elegant. More some sort of quick and dirty hack. :)

after 5.1 we decided to try to push our changes directly to upstream. this work fine with the most changes. but there also was some file moves. This work fine with new installations, but we miss some breaks and replaces in the debian packaging. Apt can be a PITA at such changes. :)

the easy solution is to apt-get remove the razor packages and make a new install. Using aptitude is also a good choice if one is familar with aptitude. Will fix this tomorrow or weekend.

rqt 0.5.2-3 is uploaded to razorqt/unstable. This version should provide a smooth upgrade path from 0.5.1. Thanks for the patience.
