« on: 2014/03/09, 05:42:11 »
For all those KDE users, big update with 4.12.3 coming in from kdenext.  The update tonight went smooth, and 4.12.3 seems to be running smoothly.

System:    Host: siduction64kdefx Kernel: 3.13-6.towo-siduction-amd64 x86_64 (64 bit)

Hi all,

I have kdenext repo enabled, but do not get an update:

Code: [Select]
pol kdm
kdm:
  Installiert:           4:4.11.7-90r0
  Installationskandidat: 4:4.11.7-90r0
  Versionstabelle:
 *** 4:4.11.7-90r0 0
        500 http://packages.siduction.org/kdenext/ unstable/main amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
     4:4.11.7-1 0
        500 http://http.debian.net/debian/ unstable/main amd64 Packages
     4:4.11.3-90r3.1 0
        500 http://packages.siduction.org/fixes/ unstable/main amd64 Packages

Or is the mirror still not updated (siduction.org)?
Or do I have to activate
Code: [Select]
http://packages.siduction.org/user unstable main
also?

@mylo: kdm is not updated, 'cause it is not developed anymore :) Try a core kde package like kde-runtime like alya wrote.

Thanks for opening the thread,  I have been somewhat busy these days. Indeed, the new KDE SC 4.12.3 it's available in kdenext/unstable. As usual you can post any issue here so we could fix it.

Cheers  :)

And please read the discussion page of the mentioned article - we prefer lightdm-gtk-greeter for kde too. But thats a users choice.
