Author Topic:  xorg: us keyboard (terminal ctrl-alt F1) even if DE was chosen during boot  (Read 8882 times)

Booting from usb-stick (ISO dd-ed to usb-stick) and chosing DE language and Berlin timezone gives DE keyboard and DE time in X. VT (xterm) also has DE keyboard.

But in terminal after ctrl-Alt F1 I have US keyboard.

Tried it several times. Seems a bug in boot menue.
Ok, you can't code, but you still might be able to write a bug report for Debian's sake

Mit "dpkg-reconfigure console-setup" ist das problem ja behebbar auch wenn mir schleierhaft bleibt warum, denn *länderspezifisches* wird ja gar nicht abgefragt, und utf-8 war die von console-setup nun angebotene, von mir dann nicht veränderte sondern bestätigte einstellung.

Ausser dass ich zu terminusboldVGA gewechselt bin habe ich alle angebotenen einstellungen übernommen. Vielleicht liegt die lösung ja darin dass nach dem booten "dpkg-reconfigure console-setup" einmal laufen muss?

erst mal eine Sache, der man nachgehen und im nächsten Release abstellen sollte - danke für den Hinweis

Beim neu installierten system bekomme ich beim ersten d-u folgenden hinweis:

Es stellt sich mir die frage ob dies einen hinweis auf den nicht ergründbaren fehler des tastaturlayouts der console darstellt? Sprich ob die ländereinstellungen beim ISO-boot irgendwie mit debconf ins gehege kommen?

Oder das paket beinhaltet einen bug den nicht siduction sondern Debian zu verantworten hat:

das ist nur ein Wörterbuch und das ist alles eher suboptimal gelöst - aber wir werden uns besser, wenn wir einen Plan haben, wie 8)

das wörterbuch ist natürlich nicht der punkt, aber dass die auswahl von debconf abhängt und dies nicht funktioniert ist vllt für die nicht funktionierende sprachauswahl schon interessanter (hätte denn nicht in einer DE umgebung der deutsche spellchecker ausgewählt werden sollen?)

in einer idealen Welt schon - nur ist unsere Welt noch nicht ideal - wir brauchen noch jemanden, der flüssig python spricht und gerne durch undokumentierten Code stiefelt - dann wird das auch so. das hat aber primär nichts mit debconf zu tun
