Hallo,
Xsession: warning:unable to write to /tmp; x session may exit with an error
Could not write pid to lock file in /tmp/.tX0-lock.

First, sorry for English :(
Sounds like a faulty hard drive, corrupt file system, or if lucky, a permissions problem.
Have you tried booting from a livecd and running an fsck on the volume
fsck -A will run the filesystem check on all filesystems on your system
If all is well ...

*** WARNING ***
=====================
This is up to you, I take no responsibility if it borks your system.
It could make things worse or it might help
As root
cd to /tmp/
delete .tX0-lock
restart your computer and pray
^^ This can be doen from live cd also
You can also wait for other replies ;)

Hi piper,
a faulty hard drive?? After a du? Sorry but this doesn't make sense for me. I think it is a permission problem because as root I can login without a problem but I do not have an idea where I can start a search. The file .tX0-lock I have deleted but nothing happens. No change and no message from the system.

ls -ld /tmp
sagt was?

Of course a faulty hard drive does not come after a DU, but after time itself, it can.
I don't know how old your system is (hard drive) or how big it is.
What I do know is the big drives don't last like the good old days ;)
The average time now is 3-5 years if that (tb's) yes, there cheap too !
Run the fsck -A in live mode, see what it fixes if anything

@towo
ls -ld /tmp
drwxrwxrwt 11 root root 4096 Sep 9 23:02 /tmp
@piper
it is a Thinkpad 420s with a SSD Drive. For an fsck I have to prepare an bootable USB Stick because the Laptop has no CD drive. I will try it tomorrow.

apt-get clean löscht alte *.deb-Dateien in /var/cache/apt/archive
kernel-remover (GUI zum gründlichen Entfernen)
bleachbit (grafisches Aufräumprogramm)
Allgemeine Pflege:

Grüße
Peter
