Hello reader,

Siduction 2012.2-"Riders on the storm" works perfect on my notebook (Asus Eee PC 1001HA). Congratulations and thanks to all involved devs.

On my laptop (Toshiba Satellite A-300-1A9) I get a totally scrambled screen after booting. So I have to add:
VGA=791 radeon.modeset=0 xmodule=vesa
to the grub-menu every time I start my computer. How or where can I make these changes permanent? Thanks for any help in advance.

Greetings,
Jorg

P.S. I have read the release notes carefully, but I must have done something wrong during the installation.

Did you use the Radeon-Cheat, that the Live-Cd offers at boot time? It is the 2nd choice that is offered. If you install that way, you should be fine.

VGA=791 depricated
radeon.modeset=0 disables KMS
xmodule=vesa does not work in an installed system

So please be more informative about your problem. For radeon graphics install firmware-linux-nonfree, do not use any kernel-parameter and make sure, there is no /etc/X11/xorg.conf.

Problem solved by deleting /etc/X11/xorg.conf - so thank you very much for your perfect advice. Towo, you are my hero!
Also thanks to devil for his assistance.
