Title: Test-Conky
Post by: unklarer on 2026/10/12, 17:39:20
@ayla, @dibl,  🙂

Frage:

Vielen Dank!  🙂

@ayla, @dibl,  🙂

Could you please run the following test on your systems using the Conky configuration below, which belongs to my friend @Sector11?

I expressly ask that you do not change the configuration! Adjustments are necessary at the very bottom with lines 110, 111, and 112, which relate to the CPU temperature and the two icons/images. Please comment them out using the hash symbol (#). Make sure there is at least one blank line (113) at the end.
It should look like this:

Question:
-Does it show up?
-Which system with which compositor?
-Native Wayland, or is XWayland involved as well?
Please save it to ~/.config/conky/. Open a terminal/console from this directory. In the first terminal, enter this command to exit:

Leave it open
Open a second terminal/tab and run the following command to start it:

Enter

Thank you very much!  🙂

YES, the test conky works correctly on my system -- looks good!

It can be moved with the mouse. It appears only on the desktop where the terminal launched it. (I use 4 virtual desktops).

Here is the graphics configuration of this system:

Graphics:
  Device-1: NVIDIA GP106 [GeForce GTX 1060 6GB] driver: nvidia v: 580.178.04

  API: OpenGL v: 4.6.0 compat-v: 4.6 vendor: nvidia mesa v: 580.178.04
