Merkwürdigeswsehr ärgerliches phänomen:
Seit wochen nutze ich hier ein WLAN, habe ich auch heute nachmittag noch genutzt. Nun funktioniert es wie von geisterhand nicht mehr (unter aptosid). Das ganz merkwürdige: die WLAN-diode an meinem schleppi "funkt" beim aufruf von "ifup wlan0" nicht mehr (was sie sonst immer tat, und unter winXP auch nach wie vor tut).
Da ich seit dem letzten d-u (vorgestern oder gestern) keine probleme hatte und auch heute das WLAN noch funktionierte bin ich vollkommen ratlos. Habe schon ifupdown re-installiert. Ceni scannen lassen, findet das WLAN newtzwerk nicht mehr. Ich bekomme jedoch unter XP mit dem gleichen rechner am gleichen standort sofort eine WLAN verbindung.
Kann mir irgendjemand erklären wie ich unter linux wieder zu nem funkenden WLAN kommen?

was sagt den lspci -v? Wird der WLAN-Chip überhaupt erkannt?
ja wird er, ist ein intel, bin grad nichrt am rechner, aber das modul wäre laut hwinfo --wlan auch aktiv.
Das komische ist, nach einigem hin und her booten zwischen winXP ( wo das wlan immer sofort funktioniert und funktionierte) und aptosid (wo es mehrfach hintereinander tot und eben auch ohne "funkende" wlan-diode blieb) war auch unter aptosid das wlan wiedwer verfügbar, inkl. "funkender" wlan-diode.
Mir ist das schon öfters passiert, dass ich unter linux mit dem schleppi ohne wlan dastand und ich nur ein NODHCPOFFER (oder wie immer das genau heißt) hatte. Es ist einfach total unzuverlässig (soweit es den verbinfdungsaufbau betrifft) und unter XP signifikant verlässlicher, was seeeeeehr ärgerlich ist. Ich weiß einfach nicht, wie ich dem problem auf die spur kommen könnte weil es dann ja irgendwann immer wieder klappt. Komisch eben auch, dass ceni in diesen situationen beim scannen das netz nicht findet.

es ist zwar ein Schuss ins Blaue, aber ich hatte vor Jahren mal unter Debian Schwierigkeiten mit einer Netzwerkkarte. Nach machen Systemstarts lief sie, nach manchen nicht.
Die Ursache war, dass manches Mal beim Herunterfahren irgendwelche Skripte nicht sauber beendet wurden.
Vielleicht ist es hier ähnlich. Leider kann ich keine konkreteren Angaben machen.

um dir helfen zu können musst auch Informationen zu deinem System hier posten, denn sonst kann ich nur raten. Folgende Infos wären z.B. interessant:

* evtl. Fehlermeldungen aus /var/log/messages zum Thema
ok, bin erst heute abend wieder am eigenen rechner, poste dann die fehlenden daten, danke einstweilen

Vielleicht das aussagekräftigste quote: vormittags ok, dann beim verbindungsaufbau nach 22 Uhr geht nichts mehr, und dan mach mehrmaligem booten nach winxp und zurück.

heute als ich zu hause dringend ins netz mußte durfte ich wieder eine stunde damit verbringen das wlan unter linux zum laufen zu bringen (und ich stand voll unter strom). auch diesemal hatte ich unter winXP nach 30 sek. eine wlanverbindung.
Irgendwas scheint immer wieder mal den treiber oder den chip zu blockieren, das ist total unzuverlässig .. unter linux, super :-(((((((((
