Hallo.
Ich habe hier einen PCI Express USB 3.0 Karte in meinen Rechner gebaut und daran per USB 3.0 Kabel eine Festplatten-Dockingstation angeschlossen.
Darin ist eine Festplatte.
Ich habe jetzt ein update und D-U durchgeführt aber irgendwie funktioniert das nicht.
Freu mich über Hilfe

Ich vermute, dass die schlange stehende helferschaar die glaskugel wie wild befragt nach angaben zu hardware (karte und dockinstation) sowie fehlermeldungen und sonstigen hilfreichen angaben... schaun mer mal
Nach dem Neuanstecken der Dockingstation dmesg tail befragen. Da sollte dann was zum Gerät auftauchen. Weitere Hardwareinfo sind auch ned verkehrt.

Hallo,
ich habe eine USB3 Express Karte für mein Notebook. Die muss immer vor einem Neustart schon angesteckt sein, weil der USB3 Treiber noch kein Hotplug beherrscht.
Bitte lass mal vor dem Neustart auch die Docking Station am Rechner.

So nun kommen mal ein paar Daten für die Glaskugel.
Folgendes Board ist hier am laufen: Gigabyte GA-MA770-UD3, 770 (dual PC2-8500U DDR2)
diese Karte hab ich eingebaut: Transcend PCI-E EXPANSION CARD /F USB3.0
und die Dockingstation sollte damit betrieben werden Fantec MR-USB 3.0 HD-Docking
Fehlermeldungen kommen keine bzw tut sich gar nix sowohl nach dem Start mit eingeschalteter Dockingstation genauso wie nach dem Hochfahren erst angeschalteter Station.
Oh - hab eben die Station noch mal eingeschaltet und siehe da die Festplatte taucht auf und es klappt. TOLL. So einfach hatte ich mir das vorgestellt.
Nun noch 'ne neue Frage - wie kann ich denn die Geschwindigkeit der USB 3.0 Verbindung testen?

Nun habe ich beim kopieren eben festgestellt das die Geschwindikeit sich um die 25 MB/s bewegt. Das ist ja nicht schneller als bei USB 2.0.

Sorry for the English, but, is your lsmod showing the presence of xhci-hcd? I know it was disabled in Fedora because it interfered with suspend/resume and you could use kernel parameter xhci.enable=1 to enable it. I'm not familiar yet with towo's kernel, so I don't know if he has it enabled or not.
Es gibt riesige Unterschiede bei der Leistung von USB 3.0 devices. es gibt auch welche, die über USB 2.0 nicht weit hinausgehen. Normalerweise kann man das am Preis festmachen. Ich habe den Stick von Adata N005. Der macht beim Lesen ~80 MByte und beim Schreiben ~ 50 MByte. Das ist allerdings ein Markenstick, und ich hab die Leistung vorher im Netz nachgeschaut.

Ok danke - habe eben im Netz zu meinen Komponenten bißchen rumgeschaut und konnte ich nix schlechtes darüber finden.

Nun hab ich unter win-Xp die USB 3.0 - Controllerkarte getestet und mit einer externen usb 3.0 Festplatte und auch mit der Dockingstation messe ich die Geschwindigkeit um 80 - 90 mb/s.

Gerät abziehen, Gerät anstecken, 5 Sekunden warten, dann tail -n 20 /var/log/messages aufrufen.Am besten 3 mal: jedes Gerät einzeln und beide zusammen.

So nun hab ich also die Platte angeschaltet -> paar Sekunden gewartet -> tail -n 20 /var/log/messages -> Platte abgeschaltet nach ner weile wieder an usw
