Title: Iceape crashes if one tries to print anything
Post by: elzorro on 2012/02/07, 10:25:39
Hi
Something causes iceape to crash if one tries to print anything at all.
I was trying to print bank statements and crash.
Anything else too.
One can save things as a pdf and print from that OK .
Bit of a nuisance though.
I'll try squeeze and aptosid, see if they do the same.

Same for me although everything is back to normal today. I can't tell if it was resolved by one of yesterday's DUs (some libgtk stuff) or after I reinstalled the printer driver (in my case for a Brother printer).

This also occurred with Iceweasel but not with other browsers and the only difference I could see was that the crash only occurred with browsers using the Options tab in the printer dialogue. Probably to do with the 'Ignore scaling and shrink to width' function.

I have the same issue with stock firefox as well, not just Iceweasel. Has anyone documented this bug yet?

Edit: Looks like FF/IW doesn't crash for me now when I try to print from the browser so hopefully its resolved by that gtk update

There was a bug #658714 filed against Iceweasel which was transferred to cups. I didn't pursue it any further than that.
