When Michael Larabel began his journey of testing he controlled preconditions so badly I thought of his testsuite of an hoax.
But he became a real professional with time!
As of Linux growing and becoming more complex testing is ever more often the only tool to control advance: Is the last release of a software product regressing?
What we learn of nouveau: You just can use it now if you just have simple tasks (office work) to do.
I'm actually using it on my laptop. An older laptop (Dell XPS M1330), doesn't have enough oomph to game anyway, so nouveau works WONDERFULLY. I remember not even 1 year ago when I had tried to use it before it was (IMO) simply unacceptable even for basic tasks because of how bad it looked.
