Howether this repo is not secure to run with siduction. Don't cry when your desktop is destroied afterwards!!!!

Jiihei, auf in die nächste Runde seinen Desktop zu zerstören :) kde 4.8.3 ist ab sofort unter http://qt-kde.debian.net zu finden. Es ist aber nicht sicher das repo zusammen mit sicution zu benutzen. Also nicht weinen, wenn der Desktop danach putt ist!!!!

Next time, you can usually fix the KDE desktop and panel by removing only ~.kde/share/config/plasma-desktop-appletsrc and ~.kde/share/config/plasma-desktoprc.
After fixing the missing panel, and setting the wallpapers back, KDE 4.8.3 looks good and everything I've tested works as expected. :)

good to know, but I don't have strange configuration, I backuped only the konversation conf file, the rest was erasable.
I find a problem with k3b for now, it don't see the empty media, the k3b setup not solve. I used brasero for this time.
Installed KDE 4.8.3 approx. 2 hours ago. No problems.Normally I do accept the new kdmrc so I didn't have any config. problems.
why bother with qt-kde, when you just to have install siduction desperado rc1? :twisted:
It appears that the KDE 4.8.3 KDE Network Wizard, or some supporting part of the KDE networking structure underneath, has broken in the past week. I used it successfully to set up filesharing from a laptop to my desktop system when I installed 12.1 and KDE 4.8.3. It was working a week ago. But now it gives the crypic message "Unable to connect to server. Please check your settings and try again." This is using ssh, and I tried both sftp and fish protocols.
ping shows the server available and other networking functions all seem to be working correctly. I tried it on another netbook and got the same result.
Google indicates this is not the first time for this problem -- I suppose a regression has happened.
