I just install siduction-12.1-desperado-kde-i386-201205212214.iso and did a full update. I like it very much. The problem i have is that i can't use sudo to install programs with my user. I can install programs as root. Is this by design or there is something wrong.

We have a real root, so sudo is not configured for the user.
