I love the LXDE version of siduction. The only caveat for me is that last time I installed it, LXDE panel expanded across both monitors. I *think* when I maximized a window, it spread across both monitors.
If I contrast that with KDE and XFCE, those Window Managers understand that the "task panel" should be on one monitor and (as well as maximize should maximize to one window)
What is the current behavior or LXDE?
Thanks

Hi hinto! :)
As I don't have (and haven't ever had) two monitors used simultaneously, I'm not able to help you by own experience. I think of adjusting width and position of lxpanel in its settings (right-click on it -> panel settings). e.g. by setting width in pixels to the width of the preferred monitor and position to the edge of the preferred monitor. An enhanced but still lightweight tool for adjusting monitor settings besides lxrandr is arandr, maybe you want to give that one a try too as it's also apt-gettable.
I hope these hints are of any help for you, and thank you for your nice words on siduction LXDE. :)
That's what I tried 6 months ago and didn't get too far. I did replace lxpanel with tint2, which did better.

The maximize windows do stick to one display, lxpanel (and the desktop wallpaper) do not...

Hi hinto!
Here's a snippet taken from IRC (#lxde on OFTC) which might be interesting (not only) for you:
Quote<grandie> is it possible to use dual monitors with lxde?
<LStranger> grandie: what you mean?
<grandie> with kde i have two monitors sitting side by side with a different application or program showing on each, can that be done with lxde?
<LStranger> If you mean TwinView/Xinerama then I'm using it right now.
<LStranger> pcmanfm doesn't support it right now though but I have patched it so it will be in git for testing right after 1.0 released.
<grandie> don't have any idea what it was called in kde, i just went into the system settings and set up a two monitor operation.
<grandie> great, do you have any idea when that will be
<LStranger> But you use common control (mouse/keyboard) and taskbar for both, right?
<grandie> that is correct.
<LStranger> so it's TwinView/Xinerama then.
<grandie> grab a window or program and move it between etc.
<LStranger> 1.0 release is planned to July 18.
<grandie> that's just around the corner
<LStranger> Since this support is experimental it doesn't go into 1.0 still and will be in 1.0.1 or whatever, after testing.
So we seem to have to be a bit more patient... ;)
^nice...
I grabbed the liveCD and booted it up. I installed arandr and got dual head via a gui. I set lxpanel to 50% and selected the really wide desperado wallpaper. Not bad... not bad at all.
