Title: two desktops in KDE with nvidia twinview
Post by: musca on 2012/07/12, 15:08:12
Hi,
multimonitor with nvidia works like a charme. Just proceed the nvidia install as stated in the manual. The two attached displays come up perfectly right out the box. The login screen spans it's background over both displays.

Happily the user logs in. Now i get two KDE Desktops, one on each display. There is one cashew on the left display and one on the right. I can independantly switch them between desktop and folder view.

The multimonitor-option in KDE doesn't apply.

I check the option, but do not press apply!
The apply-button remains inactiv.

What can i do?

I can confirm that changeing those checkboxes did not activate the apply-button on my first try.

But I tried to change something at gamma-settings, where the apply-button worked, clicked on discard there and went back to multiple-monitor settings.

I clicked identify all displays and the apply-button was active.
Now, after restarting systemsettings it works instantly...
