Title: Mounting USB drives while ssh-ed
Post by: hinto on 2012/07/18, 22:37:05
Hi guys... I'm currently using nx machine to go from one siduction box to another
I cannot seem to mount my usb drives on the "server" side

The same can be said if I ssh (using ssh -X) from pc 1 to pc 2
I cannot seem to mount the usb drives connected on pc 2
What am I missing?

If I am ssh-ed from pc 2 to pc 2 and I issue dbus-launch thunar
I see the usb drives, but thunar cannot automatically mount them.

Any info is appreciated.

I'll try, but palimpsest doesn't work.
If I have already logged into the console, then of course ssh, etc works since the disks are already mounted in my console session.
I think it has to do with policy kit, or something like that.
