Title: kde distro to razor-qt
Post by: hinto on 2012/09/10, 17:14:03
I just installed the razor-qt packages on top of the KDE version and I like what I see.

I am using xfwm4 as the Window Manager. (I've tried openbox, and kwin)

Just curious, out of the box, what does the sidiction razor-qt version use?

I settled on xfwm4 for now, since vmplayer liked to run dual head there (and kwin of course), but not openbox.

I could run openbox on dual head using xrandr, but vmplayer wouldn't oblige.

After the dust settled, tho, razor-qt seems real happy on a Dell 790, 8gb ram, and dual head.

Great job guys!!!

Default we use openbox. As soon as QT 5 and KDE Frameworks 5 are available, it will be possible to have a lean KWIN without plasma and all the bloat.

Nice...
I used kwin at first, since it was there and razor qt found it, but since I like to rip the warranty sticker off, I've been trying other WM, too.

KWin was just there because you had a preinstalled KDE.
