Hi
I am looking for a new laptop.
Can you please recommend the most Linux\siduction-friendly brand?
Meaning is for brands that have smooth installation and automatic hardware detection.
Of course siduction can be installed on every computer (I believe) but I am not an expert...
Thank you.
I've had no issues with 2 different Dell laptops, although they're a few years old. The Germans seem to like their ThinkPads pretty well, and HP seems to have a great reputation too. I strongly prefer Nvidia or Intel graphics -- folks seem to struggle with some models of Radeons, especially the newer ones.
I have an Asus Notebook (http://wiki.siduction.de/index.php?title=ASUS_PRO_P53E-SO083D) (sorry, german wiki, but inxi there is universal) with Intel on chip graphic and atheros wifi chip since a few month and I'm pretty satisfied.

Thank you :)
I prefer a AMD-ATI based laptop, due to my "support the underdog" ideology :)
As dibl said, I did have some Radeon problem when installing siduction on my current very old Fujitsu Amilo...
You will always face probs with ATI if the radeon driver is not good enough for you. the fglrx-driver is just a pita with current kernels.
