I was willing to try the install of siduction but then I realized the wifi wasn't working. I have a Toshiba Satellite L755D-S5104. It has an atheros wifi card and I know from running lmde that it is generally supported on debain - or i would think it is as lmde is based on debian testing. So I would think siduction, being based on debian sid would support it too but it didn't seem to recognize it. I know no linux distorbution will recognize my atheros bluetooth but wifi should be a different story. Any thoughts/ideas?
afaik LMDE comes with some non-free stuff preinstalled, in Debian and siduction you would have to enable non-free in the sources.lists.
If your wifi is one that needs non-free firmware, you have to use (wired) ethernet to enable and install the needed package(s) once, the installer offers to add non-free for you.
I don't know your model, so I can't say if you just need some non-free firmware or if your chip isn't supported at all, but I am pretty sure it is, if it can be used with LMDE.

It has an atheros wifi card ...
We need the exact model number, so please do:
lspci -nn | grep -i atherosYou might as well come to our irc rooms and we will sort this out real quick. Fixing wifi on the forum can be cumbersome.
