Title: iceweasel secure connection failed bug
Post by: orca on 2013/03/08, 00:57:47
Hi there

I use siduction with kernel 3.4-4.towo-siduction-amd64 and Iceweasel 10.0.12.

When I try to connect, via Iceweasel, to

http://intranet.ufrj.br/

there pops up a window with the following message:

Secure Connection Failed
intranet.ufrj.br uses an invalid security certificate
...
<Try>

There appears only this last button entitled <Try>. In other occasions, there also appear some buttons allowing us to continue or something to that effect, but not now; try as I wanted and I could not find a way to circumvent and get along past this message, as I could before...

Any suggestions??

It's an "untrusted connection"

If you "know" and "trust" the site

click on

"I Understand the Risks"

That's what I tried to explain unsuccesfully: there is no button "I understand the risks" as I have already met in other occasions, so I am unable to click anywhere else but <Try>, to no effect.

PS: by the way the site is just my university internal administration site and I do trust it

Your university could be hacked! A secure way would be to add the certificate of your university manually. Is this possible, does anybody know howto?

But you can try:

about:config
search: cert
Double click to default any bold entry you'll see!
