I recieved a PDF file with notes on it. The original file was created by me with libreoffice and exported as PDF. I sent it to some not-linux-but-MS-user for review.
Now I wonder if there is a possibility to view the notes using linux. I am afraid I needed to install acrobatviewer which I am reluctend to do (and I do not even know it would work).
pdfviewer showed some post-it like icons on the document, but I couldn't find a way to read what's included to this icons.
So any ideas? (It is all about *reading* notes, not creating)
Ok solved. I should have googeled before posting here, anyway, okular does what I need. So case closed (but still interested to hear about other possibilities).
As a fluxbox user I'd appreciate not to need kde apps. OTOH I don't care much about DE-background of applications. I can't afford to *not* install what I need only because it's DE-background doesn't fit well my preferred one.
Evince? Or foxit?
I don't remember how long it's been since I decided to stop downloading acrobat, and, just let okular take over, but, I don't miss acrobat at all. In fact, I like all the features and presentation of okular. I don't think acrobat is even needed any more.

I found it very useful
When I produced our fortnightly village A4 magazine (with Scribus on siduction) I used the Windows version of Acrobat in Virtualbox. It is and still is the simplest method of producing and proof printing an A5 size booklet to show the members of our committee before sending to the printers. I tried some debian apps like bookletimposer etc but when you have a deadline and new submissions arriving at the last minute they messed up the work flow. It was easier to put the magazine pdf into Acrobat, set the booklet format and print off as many proof copies as the committee required.
Booklet printing is the one thing I wish Okular, Evince etc had but as it appears to rely on the booklet function being part of the Qt libraries it ain't going to happen soon. Moreover I've seen a brief summary of Qt5 and the booklet function doesn't appear to be on the list.
Luckily for me this is all rather academic as due to the present economic climate we can no longer afford to produce a village magazine.:-(
