I bought this device, since the homepage told me it works without driver installation with linux.
So I connected it with my usb and conigured the newly appering device (musicsrreamer) as primary soundcard).
The device shows me If I mute it in Kmixer and shows a bitrate of 48kHz...
unpluggig it, the status LED arre turning of...
so far so good...
The only small remaining problem: there is no sound!
By The way: Lsusb is not showing the device.
(but it appears in systemsettings-> Multimedia)
edit: lsusb shows a device "Bus 008 Device 006: ID 4852:0003 " taht disapperas when I deconnect the Musicstreamer. SO I suppose it it!
you are adding a new sound device and probably need to handle the priority of the multiple sound devices for alsa.

I tried the first entry from the wiki, and had no change... The Problem seems to be somwhere else.
If I open Multimedia in Systemsettings and lay a test (test chord) for my new Musicstreamer DAC-Soundcard, I can hear it over my stereo... so the hardware, driver and Connection should be okay. But no mediaplayer is working...
Anybody with more ideas...
it works in Systemssettings with the test sound... nothing else works!
As user in a terminal use alsamixer. Which soundcard will be displayed? Can you see the other device by pressing F6? Do you have installed pulseaudio?
Well, I see it in Alsamixer with F6. (See fotos, but there is only the option on/of (like in Kmix), which should be noirmal for this device.
