today d-u wants to remove things from mate-desktop:
Die folgenden Pakete werden ENTFERNT:
caja ffmpegthumbnailer-caja icedove-l10n-de libmatedesktop mate-applets mate-core mate-desktop-environment mate-media-pulse mate-panel
mate-screensaver mate-session-manager
Die folgenden NEUEN Pakete werden installiert:
libamd2.3.1 libcamd2.3.1 libccolamd2.8.0 libcholmod2.1.2 libdebconfclient0 libmate-desktop-2-17 libmpdec2 libumfpack5.6.2
mate-media-gstreamer ruby ruby1.9.1
Die folgenden Pakete sind zurückgehalten worden:
libmateweather-common libmatewnck-common percona-server-server-5.5
I don't know if it is a serious problem, but will wait and don't du.

This caused by a mismatch between repos of mate.desktop.org and debian.

The migration of mate-desktop to debian is in progress in parts over a long time..
Holding of mate-desktop-common solves this problem for me this time:
echo mate-desktop-common hold|dpkg --set-selections
and d-u was o.k..
I think we will have some more difficulties in further times until the migration of mate-desktop is finished.
