Title: Question to risk on installing a pack from kde-apps.org
Post by: mylo on 2014/01/25, 10:44:00
Hi all,

can anybody judge whether installing

http://kde-apps.org/content/show.php/TaskJuggler?content=11302 (http://kde-apps.org/content/show.php/TaskJuggler?content=11302)

brings out a risc to my siduction installation or would advise against an inst of?

Taskjuggler is older (from 2009 for kde 3.3+) and seems no longer maintained. It is not offered in the sources.

Does anybody know a comparable "modern" tool?

There is absolutely no risk if you take the sources an build a proper debian-package from it - but who would spend this time on a dead horse?

If it is dead (so not working) no one.
If it works and does what I need,
me!

As the version on kde-apps seems rather old, there are probably newer sources available at the project's homepage at http://www.taskjuggler.org/download.html (http://www.taskjuggler.org/download.html).

Other comparable tools could be here: http://alternativeto.net/software/taskjuggler/?platform=linux
