Hi,
My company uses 2 factor authentication VPN using forticlient. Unfortunately, it is a 32-bit client and my system is 64-bit. I've added i386 arch with dpkg, and I'm trying to install the libs required and libgtk2.0-0:i386 is giving me a lot of trouble (see output below). Is there anyway for me to install libkeyutils1:i386 without uninstall half my system?
$ apt-get install libgtk2.0-0:i386

Are you fully dist-upgraded? Here, installing libkeyutils1:i386 does not remove anything but also does not suceed. I get:libgtk2.0-0 : Hängt ab von: libcups2 (>= 1.6.0) but I have 1.7.2-3 installed. There is no bugreport that makes any sense of this. So for right now I am out of clues.

Yeah, I am fully dist-upgraded.
Have you tried:
dpkg --add-architecture i386
apt-get update
apt-get dist-upgrade
And then trying to add the original package you need?
You should try again today. Depending on your mirror, you should have newcversions of libkeyutils1 for both architectures.

Hi, thank you for your help.
I have i386 arch added already.
$ dpkg --print-architecture
amd64
$ dpkg --print-foreign-architectures
i386
I tried updating, dist-upgrading, and reinstalling, but I'm getting the same result. I'm seeing version 1.5.9-2 of ibkeyutils1:i386. Is that the right version?

Alright, thank you.
I'll post back if it gets fixed in a few days.
Wait a little bit is a good suggestion. I have installed forticlient on a multiarch-machine a few month ago without problems.
